Casidhe Kusmenko who is 27 years old, has been a Primary Care Paramedic for the past 8 years. She graduated from Fleming College in Peterborough in 2010 and went straight to work. She is a preceptor who trains and coaches students who need to clock in 480 hours of “ride outs” before they can graduate as paramedics. Being a paramedic is not for the faint of heart. My conversation with Casidhe will give you an inside view on what it means and what it takes to be a first responder.
